Determinants of Dutch Development Aid

Abstract

Contemporary development aid is subject to a continuous transformation depending on both the current economical and political situation. The article describes the determinants of Dutch development aid. It defines how Dutch development aid has been in the process of reorganization in recent years. The author considers the impact of abandoning the idea of the level of 0.7% GNI for ODA and joining into one body the two ministries that are responsible for development aid. Simultaneously, the author does an analysis of the decision-making and financing of development aid. (original abstract)
