This article addresses the issue of job satisfaction levels on the example of residents and migrants from the Lublin town of Kraśnik. The aim of the study was to identify factors that influence the perceived quality of work life. The first part of the paper describes the definition of job satisfaction and its determinants. Then, the subject of migration, particularly the phenomenon of labor migration. The next part of the publication characterizes the labor market in Kraśnik. The research part presents the objectives of the study, the methodology, a description of the research group and a detailed analysis of the results of the questionnaire conducted among the inhabitants of Kraśnik and people who decided to migrate for work. The survey was conducted in March 2025 among a group of 125 people from Kraśnik - 59 residents and 66 economically active emigrants. The final part of the paper summarizes the collected results and identifies key factors influencing job satisfaction. The final part of the paper formulates practical recommendations for the local labor market, which may contribute to improving the quality of working life of the residents and reducing the scale of migration.
