Corporate Social Responsibility in the Process of Business Management

Marta Jakóbczak

Abstract

New challenges shape new trends. The growing expectations of employees, investors, and the social environment of the company, are making stakeholders increasingly force the adoption and practical application of the concept of social responsibility in business. The idea of "Responsible Business" has become so popular that it exceeded the limits of the business community, also arousing great interest in academics and NGOs. "Responsible Business" is a widely understood concept covering a range of issues: from the relationship with employees and transparency to shareholders through their involvement in community development, to ethical standards also implemented to suppliers. This study is an attempt to explain in a simple manner, what this concept is and how it can be implemented in the company's strategy. (original abstract)
