Foreign Direct Investment as a Factor in the Servicisation Process in the Republic of Peru

Kamil Majcher

Abstract

The main aim of this article is to identify changes occurring in the three-sector employment structure of Peru and the influence of Foreign Direct Investment on the servicisation process observed in that country. The analysis conducted by the author indicates that changes in the employment structure are associated with a growth of the service sector. Foreign investors play a significant role in the creation of new workplaces in Peru, with FDIs contributing to the servicization process, which is particularly dynamic in the Lima metropolitan area and in the surrounding Costa region.
