Arnold Bernaciak

Katarzyna Gogolewska

Abstract

The social functions of architecture are shown to provide artistic values, raise the prestige of the place, organize urban space, and provide security. The last function depends on many factors, including the scale of the building, its purpose, used materials, and security systems. Buildings used by public administration, churches, universities, and museums are perceived by the people as providing high level of security.(original abstract)
