The Importance of Digitalization and Innovation within the Framework of Industrial Revolution in the Context of Modern Challenges

Abstrakt
An analysis of the main digital trends within the framework of Industry 4.0
and its successors — Industry 5.0 and Industry 6.0 has been conducted in this paper. The
concept of digitalization has been analyzed as a prerequisite to innovative technologies’ development. It has been substantiated that digitalization and automation can help increase
labor productivity and ensure resource savings, improve interaction with customers, detect
changes in customer needs in a timely manner and effectively respond to current pandemic
and geopolitical challenges. The results of the study demonstrate clear signs of the need for
further digital development and innovation to support industrial transformation and future
industrial revolution. It has been recommended for the global industrial manufacturers to
actively work towards digitalization strategy development and use analytics, process analysis and robotic process automation as key technologies to build further innovations upon.
