Innovation as Factors of Sustainable Regional Development - Selected Issues of Financial Support

Abstract
The issue of financing innovation in the economy is not only still valid, but to the changing paradigm of sustainable development, has taken on larger significance. The aim of the article is to point out the importance of innovation support programs of the Polish economy in relation to the support provided by the European Union. In addition, it is essential to identify the importance of financial support in the impact on sustainable development. This article shown links between sustainability and change its paradigm and innovative economy. It also identifies the importance of EU operational programs for achieving the objectives of the new paradigm of sustainable development.(original abstract)Keywords:
