The Role of Transnational Corporations in International Trade - Selected Theoretical Aspects

Abstract

The subject of the present article is to analyse, in terms of international capital flows in the form of foreign direct investment and the role of transnational corporations (TNCs), the development of foreign trade. Transnational corporations have for many years played a key role in international trade. Their activity contributes significantly to the development of international trade and financial flows in the form of foreign direct investment (FDI). In the article, the author attempts to analyze the relationship between FDI and foreign trade.(original abstract)
