Prospects for the Development of Technology Transfer Based on the Europe 2020 Strategy

Abstract
Nowadays, enterprises need to adapt flexibly to the rapidly changing environment. In Poland, when compared to the highly developed countries of the European Union, a distinct technological gap is exhibited. Therefore, one of the main priorities of the Polish economy should be to foster international technology transfer. Furthermore, we should consider which factors of the technology transfer are the most important for the development of Polish enterprises. A comprehensive approach to the development of the European Union, including technology transfer, appears in the Europe 2020 Strategy. The aim of this article is to specify the prospects for the development of technology transfer according to a strategy for smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth. The article uses the method of deduction and is aimed primarily as a review of literature; therefore, conclusions are based on selected items of literature related to the subject of technology transfer. It contains issues concerning the role and importance of technology transfer strategies to support the technology transfer processes, especially the Europe 2020 Strategy, which emphasizes the key role of technology transfer.(original abstract)Keywords:
