Barriers to Cooperation between Science and Business in Poland - a Perspective from High-tech Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

Abstract
The aim of this paper is the identification of barriers limiting possibilities for the cooperation between science and business in Poland. Within the study are the results of surveys conducted in 2012, among 50 small and medium-sized enterprises. Due to the nature of the undertaken subject, to participate in the research, companies representing a broadly defined sector of advanced technology were selected. The results of the survey indicate that the most serious barriers are: lack of financial resources, extended bureaucracy in scientific institutions, and the incompatibility of their offer(original abstract)Keywords:
