Cooperation of Science and Business through the Example of a University-wide Faculty of the University of Economics in Katowice

Abstract
This article presents a case study of practical experience in the cooperation of science and business through the example of a university-wide faculty of the University of Economics in Katowice. The Research and Expertise Center provides professional research, as well as, expert and consulting services. It draws on the knowledge and experience of the university's academics and researchers to create sustainable forms of cooperation between science and applied experience. Some empirical studies have been done on the basis of experience gained as an employee of an entity participation in the projects. The author shows the problems and the benefits in terms of establishing mutual cooperation.(original abstract)Keywords:
