Recognition of the Wielkopolska Business Environment in the Process of Knowledge Transfer

Abstract

The modern development processes increasingly takes place in a specific arrangement of links, including the network of companies, research institutions, non-governmental institutions, public administration, and civil initiatives. The role of network relationships and initiatives is to facilitate the penetration of ideas and exchange of information, as well as, the intensification of the processes of knowledge transfer and commercialization. Observations indicate the growing role of innovation and entrepreneurship, the so-called business environment institution (BEI). This article will present the results of BEI surveys in the Greater Poland area, whose aim is to show the status of recognition of these institutions, the activities with which they are associated, the quality of information provided by these institutions, and the dissemination of knowledge from them. The whole project will be preceded by the characteristics of surveyed business environment institutions.(original abstract)
