Functional Determinants of ICT in Network Enterprise

Abstract
Business networks are made of long termed formal and informal relationships that appear between two or more entities. These network organizations have the ability to adapt to changing situations, to influence and shape their environment if necessary, and to find a new milieu or reconfigure business processes. Increasing requirements for extended enterprises have stimulated the integration of knowledge management functions into ERP/BI systems for knowledge asset management. These technologies also reduce infrastructure costs, since they simplify integration and streamline the administration and maintenance of ICT solutions. The purpose of this article is to show the functional determinants of ICT companies on the basis of network support business strategies, by improving efficiency and better use of knowledge. This is done by discussing how to deploy ERP/BI concurrently in the framework of enterprise information systems and the evolution of the development trends apparent in this area.(original abstract)Keywords:
