Modern Realization of Idea of Credit on the Basis of Self-Help in Small Communities

Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to characterize social lending by focusing on its transaction procedure using the Internet. The author presents some advantages and disadvantages of such transactions and describes risk levels associated to them. Also, the genesis of some Internet social lending websites was presented. Some interesting business models of similar global services were introduced. The author puts emphasis on the 3 biggest Polish social lending Internet services by describing especially security levels of transactions among lenders and borrowers as members of small communities.(original abstract)Keywords:
