Mazovian Credit Guarantee Fund as the Tool for Supporting SMEs by Self-Governments

Abstract
The article presents the principles of functioning of guarantee institutions in Germany, Italy and Japan. The results of MFPK activity were presented as an example of Polish guarantee system. MFPK has positively affected the development of SMEs by enabling about 3000 entities to get bank credits. As a result of analysis of MFPK's statement data, the theoretical possibilities of supporting the SMEs with guarantees were identified as well as the barriers of possibilities of using the guarantees were presented.(original abstract)Keywords:
