NIMBY Syndrome - the Voice of Local's Community in Location Decisions of the Road Infrastructure

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to show the nature and mechanism of NIMBY syndrome, as well as identify options to mitigate its strength. This is a problem that one side becomes more noticeable in Poland - it can be assumed that as a result of investment growth, including transport's investment, on the other hand, from the theoretical, is still very poorly recognized empirically, especially that invests in various research areas, such as economics, sociology, politics, culture, ecology.
