Directions of Socio-Economic Changes in Polish Regions in the First Decade of the XXI Century

Abstract
In modern social-economic realities regions begin playing greater role. Their development, state (condition) and prospects depend on many factors. Polish regions can be an example, which from one side take advantage of the fact of being involved in global economy, so called civilization impulse, on the other hand they use integration with union structures for catching up with development delays. However, experiences of first years of functioning of our regions in new realities indicate as on positive experiences as accretion of negative phenomena. That in effect gives birth to necessity of decision-making concerning directions of their development. (original abstract)Keywords:
