Determinants of the Management of the Budget Deficit and the Debt in Local Government Units

Abstract
Conditions which are independent of the local legal influence primarily on the management of the deficit and the debt in local government units. Factors which affect the financial condition of individuals and organizational factors are important too. If the financial performance of local governments in the years 2007-2009 is analysed it can be stated that the period was dominated by budget deficits. Municipalities were indebted. The debt of all surveyed municipalities increased significantly in the 2009.(original abstract)Keywords:
