Transmission Channels for the Global Economic Crunch across the Foreign Direct Investment

Abstract

The paper strives to identify and indicate transmission channels through which the current economic crisis influences foreign direct investment (FDI). The following propositions are presented: --there are a number of transmission channels through which the current economic crisis propagates, to the effect that instabilities in the international financial and economic system will affect foreign direct investment, --the transmission channels through which the current economic crisis is spreading and affecting foreign direct investment make up a network of relations, --the worldwide economic crisis has led to a global decline in FDI inflow.(original abstract)
