Changes in Government Bonds Markets in 2009/2010

Abstract
The paper delineates the changes that took place in the government bonds market in 2009 and at the beginning of 2010. The author discusses the factors affecting the global bonds market and the transformations it underwent as a result of the ongoing financial crisis. A description of the international market is followed by descriptions of specific leading markets. The paper characterizes the current market trends, at the same time indicating changes occurring in local markets in different countries. A detailed treatment of the European, American and Asian market is offered.(original abstract)Keywords:
