Demand for Human Capital Specialists during a Market Slump

Abstract
The paper describes presents the current condition of the job market for HR professionals. Furthermore, it describes challenges - key tasks facing personnel departments during the economic slowdown relating to e.g. employment restructuring or cost optimization. The research methods applied in the paper include literature search and an analysis of reports published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the Polish Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MPiPS) and relevant industry organizations.
