Investment Banking Tools' Implementation in Central Banking - the Example of Coin Auction System called Kolekcjoner

Abstract
National Bank of Poland as the first central bank all over the world introduced starting from the beginning of 2010, new Kolekcjoner auction service, through which the National Bank of Poland conducts sales of issued collector coins and banknotes. The implemented auction system uses one of the three most popular schemes of fixing the selling price used in investment banking. All three auction systems and basic rules for the collector items sale are presented in the article. (original abstract)Keywords:
