The Essence of Process Management and the Goodwill and the Value of the Company

Abstract
In the era of globalization the role of intangible assets in creating enterprises value rises. The necessity of seeking adequate means of the management of the organization and its processes appear. Particularly important is the acceptance of the appropriate goodwill management that represents the intangible, difficult measurable assets of the enterprise. The article presents the idea of process managements as a suitable system for realizing the aim of the activities of the enterprise which is the maximization of its value. The goodwill management was proposed as one of the distinguished processes which is to support the creation of an efficient information system in the enterprise, which is the focus of process management. The connections between the process management, goodwill and the company value were shown as well as the role of the goodwill in creating enterprises value. The author also points to the need to differentiate and systematize the concepts of "goodwill" and "enterprise value", which in the economic literature are often used interchangeably, resulting in confusion of terminology.
