International Trade Links of Polish Industry After Twenty Years of Transformation

Abstract

Constant trend in tightening economic relations between companies around the world determines functioning of other business entities willing to maintain their competitive position, also Polish industrial companies. Basic form of international cooperation is trade exchange which leads to internationalization of the entities which participate in the cooperation. The aim of the article is to evaluate the level of integration of Polish industry with the system of world economy in the area of international trade links after nearly twenty years of transformation. The subject of detailed research is a level of export intensity of companies, import absorption of industrial production and production-trade links in the form of offshoring in 2008.(original abstract)
