Integration of the Visegrád Group Countries with the European Union as a Result of an International Lobbying

Abstract
The paper aims to describe the influence of lobbying activities of the EU15 member states, especially Germany, that were mostly interested in successful transition in Central - Eastern Europe and integration of this part of the continent with the European Union. Attention was focused primarily on the determinants which stimulate and inhibit this process in the initial period of the most important efforts of this group of countries. The whole is preceded by an attempt to conceptualize the idea of lobbying and presenting the genesis of the Visegrád Group. (original abstract)Keywords:
