The Importance of Debt Management of State Treasury in Poland in the Process of Transformation of Fiscal Policy

Abstract
The article presents the process of changes in debt management of Slate Treasury in Poland during the period of fiscal policy transformation and development of financial market. The author also presented the analysis of changes in public debt (particularly State Treasury) and the debt service costs, particularly taking into account the period after 2000, i.e. after introduction of the legal regulations of debt management of State Treasury in Poland, compared to European Union member countries. In the final part of the article the author points out two important restrictions connected with the realization of State Treasury debt management resulting from the problems of structure and distribution of borrowing needs of the state budget.(original abstract)Keywords:
