Coaching is defined as a developmental process during which its participant is supported in achieving a personal or professional competence-related result or goal. It can also be described as the art of supporting the learning, development, and maximization of another person's potential. In education, the aim of coaching is to improve specific skills and to motivate students to make autonomous decisions regarding their learning process. Consequently, a teacher who incorporates coaching methods ceases to be the main actor in the educational process and becomes more of a facilitator and a witness, placing students at the center and granting them an autonomous, decision-making role. Coaching has its skeptics, particularly regarding its overall applicability in the classroom. However, there are solid reasons why it is compatible with classroom practice. The article aims to show how coaching principles have been used in Intercultural Business Communication course. Finally, examples of good practices drawn from educational work are presented.
