Abstract
The goal of the article is to analyze different approaches to defining the concept of social and economic security in order to propose a new definition which, unlike existing approaches, is created in a three-stage process. After analyzing ten different definitions of social and economic security, the authors select a number of generic concepts and identify five groups of essential features, with each group given a different weight. Finally, all these components are synthesized to create a generalized definition of the concept.(original abstract)Keywords:
