Indicator Analysis as a Tool for Examining a Company's Financial Situation

Abstract
The dynamic business environment, continuous regulatory changes that need to be complied with, as well as growing competition - all these factors significantly impede the functioning of companies in the market. Faced with such conditions of business operation, companies have to constantly monitor their assets and financial situation to be able to properly direct their future strategic activities. Shareholders and stockholders tend to be especially interested in selected indicators whose rising values are associated with higher dividends and more opportunities for further growth. Research shows that, unfortunately, investment decisions are often made intuitively, without conducting indicator analysis. It is therefore necessary to raise the awareness of business practitioners about the necessity and benefits that can be derived from performing indicator analysis, which helps to make good investment decisions.(original abstract)Keywords:
