Innovativeness as a Determinant of the Competitiveness of Small Enterprises in Poland

Abstract

Innovativeness is considered today as one of key determinants for the development of enterprises, becoming an important factor in the growth of their competitiveness. Particular attention should be paid to smaller companies, dominant in the structure of Polish economy, which in order to be able to effectively compete on the market, they need a new products, processes, organizational or marketing systems. The main purpose of this article is an attempt to make a diagnosis of the innovation of small business in terms of the volume and nature of the innovations in the years 2012-2014 and the analysis of the importance of applied solutions for the level of competitiveness of enterprises. The main objective has been realized with the help of literature query, and carried out in 2015 the empirical study on a representative sample of Polish small companies.(original abstract)
