Investment Possibilities of Local Self-Government in the New Financial Perspective of the European Union for 2014-2020

Abstract
Local government is a main beneficiary of funds coming from the European Union. Loacl government investments, through their peculiar character, differ from investments carried out in the private sector. This article aims to identify investment opportunities in local government based on the new EU financial perspectives for 2014-2020. An investment activity of the local government was analysed in the previous programming period, as well as, new areas of the realization of local government investment projects were described in financial perspectives for 2014-2020. One part of the study is devoted to the identification of the conditioning of investment possibilities of the local self-government.(original abstract)Keywords:
