Prudential Regulations for the Public Sector for Preventing and Minimizing the Impact of Financial Crises

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present existing solutions in the field of prudential regulations conceived as an instrument designed to minimize risk, with a focus on regulations targeted at local government units (being part of the public sector). The author outlines the concept of prudential regulations and discusses the legitimacy of their use by local governments in times of crisis.(original abstract)
