History of Development of Tourist Walking Trails in Poland

Abstract
The article presents the history of development of walking trails in Poland. Special attention has been drawn to the role of tourist organizations in the process of designing and marking tourist walking trails. Some statistical data enabling characteristics of the development of the aforementioned tourist trails in Poland up to the present, collected by PTTK, was also used in the work.(original abstract)Keywords:
