Current Problems Faced by Ukraine's Regions with Regard to Economic Specialization

Abstract
The article addresses the impact of external factors on the indicators of Ukraine's socio-economic development. The author analyses changes in the index of the gross regional product of Ukrainian regions in the period 2012-2020 to create a ranking showing each region's contribution to the country's GDP. The author proposes her own typology of regions depending on the level of their economic specialization, which is based on the share of key types of economic activity in the gross added value. The contribution (taxes and fees) of each region to Ukraine's state budget was also calculated.(original abstract)Keywords:
