Financial Management as a Basis of Modern Financial Economy of Local Government Units

Abstract
The article presents the concept of change resulting from the implementation of the new public management in the public sector in relation to the area of financial management of local government units. The author points out in the necessary modifications in the process of local government financial management associated with the introduction of the concept of new public management in the area of legal, financial, organizational and human resources.
