Abstract
IT support for environmental safety assessment
The paper presents the progress in the field of collecting, processing, and display digital environmental data. Presents selected graphic forms used on maps and geographic data projection principles using modern technical means. As examples presented publicly visuals used in international traffic moving by land, water and air, are presented using the latest audiovisual aids. Thanks to the Internet and GPS we can observe objects in an additional dimension which is the movement - and I also referenced in the publication. In addition, we present an overview of selected browser geo-information products, based on products dynamically developing company the Esri (Environmental Systems Research Institute), which since the 90s of the twentieth century also operates in Poland.
