Alina Czapla

Abstract

The article focuses on barriers to development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the context of networking. It shows that the most-known important barriers: high taxes, high labor costs and bureaucracy should be supplemented with recruitment problems and the most burdensome group of barriers are administrative and legal ones. Belonging to business networks can limit market barriers. In addition, attention was paid to the fact, that the perception of barriers by entrepreneurs is very diverse, even for companies operating in one business network, in the same branch, carrying out the same type of business.(original abstract)
