Changes in the Approach to Measuring Efficiency of Public Healthcare Organisations

Abstract
The article addresses the problem of changes in the approach to measuring the efficiency of public healthcare institutions in Poland. The purpose of the study is to analyse the methods of efficiency measurement and to identify the direction of change in this respect. The authors outline types of efficiency and traditional methods of its measurement. Then, taking into account the need to modify these methods, they present an approach encompassing three perspectives: of the evaluator, of the product and of outlays.(original abstract)Keywords:
