The Internet of Things - a New Face of Marketing Communication?

Abstract

The Internet, since its inception, has been evolving in many dimensions. One of them is the method of communication and the type sender and receiver. With the emergence of online communication between machinery and equipment, a new term appeared: Internet of Things (IoT). The article presents the concept of the IoT, identifies the areas of its use, and the key challenges related to its further expansion. The main aim of this article is, however, an attempt to find the answer to the question of whether and how the Internet is changing communication between a firm and the client. This article is based on the latest literature on the subject and is open to be discussed.(original abstract)
