Abstract

Today, mobile apps are an indispensable part of travel planning, enabling travellers to access all necessary information from anywhere in the world. The main objective of the study was to find out to what extent respondents are familiar with and use mobile travel apps and to assess the level of satisfaction with their functionality. To achieve this objective, after analysing available secondary data, an online questionnaire survey was carried out involving 300 respondents aged up to 35. The survey included 23 questions of different type concerning nine popular travel apps. The collected data were used to calculate a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for each respondent. It was found that the frequency of use of mobile travel apps when travelling and their assessment was differentially correlated with factors such as respondents’ sex, age, educational level, and tourism activity, especially before the pandemic.
