Conditions of an Effective Employees' Appraisal System Preparation Based on Competencies

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the main areas that need to be considered when preparing employees' appraisal system based on competencies. In the first place, employees' appraisal system and its aims were defined. Next, the term of competencies was explained. Hereinafter, the following stages of employees' appraisal system based on competencies were proposed. Special attention was devoted to aims, tasks, and difficult situations that may occur in the certain job position. Also, the competencies' appraisal scale was given. Key elements of employees' appraisal system based on competencies implementation were also underlined. (original abstract)
