Managerial Competences in the SME Sector in the Middle Pomerania Region

Abstract
An improvement and development of managerial competences as a source of the organization's success is becoming one of the required conditions to maintain the position on the market and to develop enterprises from the SME sector. The present study covers the results of a test survey whose purpose was to identify the importance of key managerial competences, to define a set of those competences that managers wish to develop as well as preferences concerning forms to improve the said competences. An image was presented of certain self-awareness on the part of managers on various management levels. A particular attention was paid to the constant requirement to develop and extend managerial competences. (original abstract)Keywords:
