The Current State of the Ukrainian Metallurgical Industry

Abstract
The metallurgical industry is an important sector of Ukraine's economy. The main production capacities of this sector are located in the country's eastern regions, where military operations have been taking place since the beginning of 2022. The purpose of the article is to determine how the war has affected the activities of the largest metallurgical enterprises by comparing them with those before 2022. The authors identify the main problems why metallurgical enterprises cannot operate as normal, in particular, the destruction of fixed assets, complicated logistics, shortage of personnel, lack and interruptions in the supply of electricity, and others. Ways to solve these problems are also proposed.(original abstract)Keywords:
