Cartographic Knowledge Description in Organization

Abstract
The paper presents the model of cartographic knowledge description. The model bases upon cartographic and geographical information systems methodology. Cartographic knowledge description is treated as one kind of method, which can be used for knowledge management in organizations. GIS tools can define different kinds of spaces. The proposed model bases upon heuristic spaces, which can be generated by GIS tools. The cartographic knowledge description is realized by preparation maps of organizations. Created maps can show knowledge resources using different layers and they are prepared on the datas allocated in the databases of enterprises information systems (e.g. ERP, ERP II or GRP).
