Types and nature of cyberattacks and an outline of activities in the area of cybersecurity of IT infrastructure
Abstract
The dissemination of advanced computer technologies causes that cyberattacks are becoming an increasing problem. Attacks on computer systems, programs, sensitive data, servers, smartphones or elements of computer networks are becoming a common element of the functioning of enterprises. Understanding the most common forms of cyberattacks and how to defend against them is becoming a core business skill. The attack process itself also usually follows an identifiable, typical pattern. The key elements in the cybersecurity system are properly trained and aware employees who are also its greatest asset or weakest link. It is also important to know the effects, including the financial ones, of a typical cyberattack.
